Paper Prompt Choose an institution connected to the world of higher education and discuss its finances including a focus on a problem at the institution that is financially-related.  The institution can be a place of higher learning (college or university) or it may be an institution connected in other ways to the world of higher education (for instance, the NCAA).  It can be a topic, like the financing of sports or research, financial aid practices, college pricing that cuts across multiple institutions.  
As an example for the paper, perhaps you will choose to emphasize credit analysis, analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the institution from the point of view of credit rating agencies, lenders or bondholders.  Or you may wish discuss issues of budgeting and resource allocation, using information on the web, in libraries or through the institutions themselves to discuss how resources are allocated.  Or you may wish to review the question of who pays for intercollegiate sports.
