There are 8 competencies: Career & Self Development, Communication, Critical Thinking, Equity & Inclusion, Leadership, Professionalism, Teamwork, and Technology.
PART 1:
For each competency, self reflect and determine which stage/rating you would give:
Developing =You are at the beginning stages of understanding and applying this competency and demonstrating some successes. You should understand that it is important to seek out opportunities to grow in this area.
Achieving = You are consistently demonstrating success in this competency. Continued development results in increased expertise and brings additional professional responsibility and opportunity
Excelling = You have begun to master this competency. You have been recognized by colleagues, supervisors, and/or peers and may have been asked to share your expertise. You can serve as a role model and leader in this area
PART 2:
Write two paragraphs for each competency (about 3-5 sentences per paragraph – 16 paragraphs total) on the following
The first paragraph should indicate a personal or professional example of how you have gained/utilized each competency or explain the importance of this competency in your own words and why it is beneficial.
The second paragraph should indicate examples of how you can further improve/develop the competency to be a more competitive candidate for future positions.
