1.Enzo Traverso looks at the rise of what he calls “postfascism” (or post-fascism) that may resemble the fascism of the 1930s
(i.e., the rise of authoritarian rulers like Mussolini and Hitler) but is also quite different. Critically analyze. What does Traverso
mean, how does this relate to the rise of populism in Europe, and how is it connected to the phenomenon of what he dubs “anti-
politics”? What does that mean? In lecture, it was suggested that this new postfascist world can be looked at in the context of the
separation of nations (and nationalism) from the state; what is meant by this? Is it happening? How is it happening and can it be
