The body of your paper is going to cover the politicians you select
from the group I provide at the bottom.. Please classify the politicians
you pick into a typology category (for example, if you chose George W.
Bush, you might label him a “Country first conservative” or whatever
you think matches his public record). After you categorize the
politician, you will write a minimum 2-page summary of WHY you
chose that political typology and give evidence (this is the research
part) from AT LEAST 3 sources and at least 6 examples for EACH
politician of examples of their public life and political record which
matches up with the typology you chose. This section needs to have
“in-text” or “parenthetical” citation within the body of your paragraphs
which shows where you got your information. Please make sure and
follow MLA formatting. I gave a helpful link to this and you can also
google the many dozens of cites which give you examples.
As a brief example, suppose you used something from an article I
published… this would be an example of what it would look like:
Bush is an economic conservative because of his steadfast belief in
small government capitalism and his support for the X project (Plank
6). That indicates to me that you got your information from an article
which will be listed in your works cited page by Plank and the page #
where you found it. You will need to carefully review how to cite
different types of information. For example, if you get it from a book,
an article, a website, etc. We NEVER use Wikipedia or blogs for
research. You should only use scholarly sources
